Dairy Cattle

Those who thought the trade would not last !!

What do they say now. I think it is just a simple case of supply and demand. There is just not enough Dairy Replacements to go round. With the event of Blue Tongue in Europe this has virtually stopped imports. So the situation has reversed we have successfully exported two consignments of incalf heifers, so unless demand decreases I cannot see a drop in prices. We can offer the following but be quick!! 50 pedigree bulling heifers,use to cubicles, holistein bred but not extreme from a herd av 9000 litres. At the moment two groups of incalf Friesian heifers 15 heifers due now and 40 due from September to December they ran with a Blonde Bull till March. Don't forget are weekly selection of fresh calved cows and heifers over 20 to chose from every week. GIVE US A CALL!!

Organic Cattle

Well trade started strong 5 years then went to virtually no difference too there is just simply not enough organic cattle to satisfy demand. Especially calves if you are a organic dairy producer and are selling your calves in the weekly sales. Give us a call we have Organic Beef units desperately wonting these calves all breeds and sexes but especially Native Breeds. GIVE US A CALL!!

Store Cattle

We say the same every year, Trade is very Strong! But it is. We have broken all previous records for sales this spring, cattle have been going that fast that there feet have hardly touched the ground! There is strong demand for everything from 6 months old to finishing cattle 22-24 months old. This week we have sold over 150 head of cattle just 18 Lim steers 18 months old in stock at the moment, but stock changes daily. GIVE US A CALL!!

Fresh Rearing Calves

This is perhaps are busiest section. With the reopening of the export market demand has gone through the roof on both sides of the channel. On a weekly bases we are selling in excess of 400 calves a week and last month over 900 calves came direct from farms. So what ever your requirements are, we recently sent 2 Jersey cows to the Shetland Islands. This week over 200 Friesians Bulls, 150 Con't Bulls, 95 Con't Heifers, and over 100 native breeds on offer. Stirks

Not too many on offer as we are selling them before we have
chance to rear them, Last two bunches we sold them before we had chance to wean them. Just 25 con't heifer ready in 2 weeks, vaccinated ready to go. GIVE US A CALL.!!

Sucklers

Again trade good. With the lifting of over 30 month ban this has helped trade of the older cows. Just 10 Hereford Heifers with Lim x calves at foot on offer. But GIVE US A CALL!!
